Vacancy: Consultant or Senior Consultant in Air Quality
EPS are looking for an Air Quality Consultant, working towards or starting as a Senior Consultant to develop and lead EPS’ Air Quality Service. The role is an exciting opportunity to join our dynamic team of friendly, experienced consultants. Based out of our Cambridge office, but with a possibility to work remotely out of the 5 UK offices.
The EPS Group is multidisciplinary, covering services including geo-environmental consultancy, flood risk, drainage and daylight. Air quality is a smaller but emerging part of the group, integrating with all the other offices and teams will be key to expanding the service. This role will be central to that development.
The duties of the role will include undertaking air quality assessments, utilising CERC’s ADMS Roads 5 dispersion model. The types of assessment are varied and include outsourced regulatory services for local authorities as well as more conventional impact assessments associated with new developments. EPS prioritise their bespoke approach to low emission design across this service by incorporating these measures into all assessments.
The applicant must have a keen desire to learn, the ability to develop good working relationships across the group and directly promoting the service to perspective clients. Some occasional site visits will be needed. Internal and external training will be provided.
Essential requirements for the role:
- At least 2 years’ experience in a UK-based consultancy or local authority completing air quality management duties, including competency in undertaking dispersion modelling using ADMS Roads-5.
- Degree or Higher Degree in a related subject
- A proactive, highly organised team player with good inter-personal skills
- Ability and willingness to develop new business opportunities, working with EPS’ Marketing Team.
- Willingness to promote air quality services to Clients and other offices in the group, with a keenness to expand the air quality service year on year.
- Competence in Microsoft Office suite
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to manage projects and other engineers
- Ability to write and review technical reports
- A valid UK driving license held for at least 2 years
- Passport for travel outside the UK (some international travel may be required)
The employee package will include a competitive salary provided the above requirements are met and EPS would be willing to appoint at either Consultant or Senior Consultant level, depending on experience.
